Terms of Use and Purchase

Terms applicable to browsing MicroBio Hub and purchasing the e-book, in accordance with the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code (Law 8.078/1990) and Decree 7.962/2013.

This English text is a courtesy translation provided for convenience. The Portuguese version is the legally binding one under Brazilian law (LGPD/CDC).

1. Acceptance

  • ·By browsing MicroBio Hub you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

2. Nature of the content

  • ·All material is intended for educational and technical support purposes only.
  • ·The calculators and the BrCAST zone-diameter interpreter are verification tools: they do not replace the SOPs, quality control and validation of the laboratory where you work.
  • ·Releasing any laboratory report is the responsibility of the legally qualified professional and the technical director of the facility.
  • ·The site does not provide diagnosis, prescriptions or clinical guidance to patients.

3. Intellectual property

  • ·The MicroBio Hub brand, the texts, images, databases, calculators, the BrCAST interpreter, the Rugai calculator, the source code and the e-book are the exclusive property of Pablo Daniel Monteiro Soares, protected under Brazilian Law 9.610/1998, Law 9.609/1998 and Law 9.279/1996.
  • ·Personal use and short quotations with credit and a link to the source page are permitted.
  • ·Without written authorisation it is prohibited to reproduce, translate, adapt, resell or redistribute the content and the e-book, in whole or in part, as well as to extract the databases, perform automated scraping, or reimplement the tools in another product.

4. Purchasing the e-book

  • ·The price is shown in Brazilian reais, upfront, with all charges included, before the purchase is completed.
  • ·The product is digital and delivered by email or download link after payment confirmation.
  • ·An order summary, including product, price and payment method, is shown before confirmation, in accordance with Decree 7.962/2013.

5. Right of withdrawal

  • ·For purchases made online, you may withdraw within 7 calendar days from the purchase date or receipt of access, under art. 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code.
  • ·The request can be made by emailing suporte@microbiohub.com.br, with no justification required.
  • ·The amount paid is refunded in full, through the same payment method, within 30 days.

6. Customer support

  • ·Support is provided exclusively through the support email suporte@microbiohub.com.br and the phone number listed on the Contact page — there is no in-person service or public business address.
  • ·Questions, complaints, cancellation and contract suspension must be requested through these same channels.
  • ·Requests are answered within 5 business days, in accordance with Decree 7.962/2013.

7. Limitation of liability

  • ·We make efforts to keep data up to date according to the current tables cited in each tool, but we do not guarantee the absence of errors.
  • ·We are not liable for technical or clinical decisions made based solely on the site's content.

8. Governing law and jurisdiction

  • ·Brazilian law applies. The consumer's domicile is elected as the jurisdiction for resolving any disputes.
