Privacy Policy

This policy describes how we process personal data at MicroBio Hub, in accordance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law 13.709/2018) and the Internet Civil Rights Framework (Law 12.965/2014).

This English text is a courtesy translation provided for convenience. The Portuguese version is the legally binding one under Brazilian law (LGPD/CDC).

1. Who processes your data

  • ·MicroBio Hub is an educational microbiology content website aimed at healthcare professionals and students.
  • ·Data processing is carried out by MicroBio Hub's operation, which acts as data controller under the LGPD.
  • ·The contact point for privacy matters is the support email suporte@microbiohub.com.br, also shown on the Contact page.

2. What data we collect

  • ·Data you provide: name and email, when you contact us, request the free e-book sample or purchase the product.
  • ·Browsing data: pages visited, device and browser type, collected in aggregate form.
  • ·The calculators and the antibiogram interpreter run entirely in your browser: values you type are never sent to or stored on our servers.

3. What we use it for

  • ·Responding to requests and providing support.
  • ·Processing the purchase and delivery of the e-book, when applicable.
  • ·Maintaining security and improving the site's operation.

4. Legal basis (art. 7 of the LGPD)

  • ·Contract performance, for selling and delivering the e-book.
  • ·Consent, for non-essential cookies and optional communications.
  • ·Legitimate interest, for site security and improvement.
  • ·Compliance with a legal obligation, for retaining access logs (art. 15 of the Brazilian Internet Civil Rights Framework).

5. Sharing

  • ·We do not sell personal data.
  • ·We share data only with processors necessary to provide the service, such as hosting and payment providers, limited to the contracted purpose.

6. Retention and security

  • ·We retain data only for as long as necessary for the purposes above, or for the period required by law.
  • ·We adopt reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect data against unauthorised access.

7. Your rights as a data subject

  • ·Confirmation that processing exists, and access to your data.
  • ·Correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data.
  • ·Anonymisation, blocking or deletion of unnecessary data or data processed in non-compliance with the law.
  • ·Data portability, withdrawal of consent, and information about sharing with third parties.
  • ·To exercise any right, write to suporte@microbiohub.com.br. We reply within 15 days.

8. Cookies

  • ·We use cookies essential to the site's operation and, with your consent, audience-measurement cookies.
  • ·You can accept or refuse non-essential cookies in the notice shown on first access, and change your choice at any time by clearing the site's data in your browser.

9. Minors

  • ·The content is directed at healthcare professionals and students. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes

  • ·This policy may be updated. The date of the last revision is shown at the bottom of this page.
